Planning- Location Survey

Today, Shir and I went out to see the locations that we roughly planned in the 'Locations' slideshow. Here are the locations we visited:

Street scene:

We started with the street scene, which I had visualised the Siam Square street. The particular area that we looked at had different food stalls set up by the side, and many of them were decorated with fairy lights which better illuminated the streets. We also liked the crosswalk(?) where cars slowly drive (reducing safety hazards), which have TV screens and lights signs that will be a good representation of the Bangkok city life.

Record shop:

We looked at 2 record shops, '1979 vinyl and unknown pleasures' and 'Recoroom'. We really liked 1979's location as the building is kind of old and deserted, as well as being in Sukhu
mvit- giving it a very urban feel. The walls also have interesting graffitis and posters which is an element we can use while filming. Recoroom had a different vibe, being more peaceful and less urban, because of this, we decided that 1979 would be a better fit for our music video.

Book Store:

For the bookstore (which we haven't decided yet to use), we went to Dasa, a small bookstore near Phrompong. The old books and warm lights gave Dasa a very authentic and cozy vibe, as well as fitting for an indie music video. However, the place is quite small, which may be an obstacle while filming, and we also don't want to disturb the other customers while filming a music video there.

Supermarket:

We visited 2 supermarkets, one is the Tops in Emquartier and the other is 'Villa' supermarket near Phrompong. The pictures above are from the former, as we feel it is more spacious which allows for more filming room, as well as has less customers (which we do not want to disturb) and the lighting fits better with our music video.
