Filming- Day 2
Today we wanted to cover the daytime shots. We started off at the record store (which fits into the conventions of our genre)- '1979 vinyl and unknown pleasures'.
Here is Phoebe getting her makeup ready for filming, since the artist has to have a consistent look in all the shots, we tried to recreate the look from the first filming day.
We thought the minimalist, worn out white wall outside the record store would fit into our aesthetics, so we took some photos for the photoshoot:
At the record store, we mostly filmed cutaways. Luckily, the decorations in the record store matches well with the conventions of our genre.
We also filmed a few lip-singing shots:
We were considering filming other people's reactions to the artist singing it public- kind of like in Grimes' music video 'Oblivion', so we asked the shop owner for a reaction shot:
After that, we went to the Emquartier (mall) to film on the rooftop and to get the reaction shots.
Although we got a lot of good reactions from the strangers we filmed, we decided not to use these scenes and to stick with the original plan.

We got a lot done in the record store today, however I think we are still very unclear on the other locations. In the next media lesson, I think the most important thing is for us to discuss as a team and establish the locations.
